Description
A creamy, cozy one pot Alfredo pasta with jar sauce — made for one and ready in under 20 minutes with pantry staples.
Ingredients
4 oz dry pasta (penne, fettuccine, etc.)
1/3–1/2 cup jar Alfredo sauce
1/2 cup water or broth
1 clove garlic, minced (or 1/4 tsp garlic powder)
1 tbsp butter
1–2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Salt & black pepper to taste
Optional: chopped spinach, frozen peas, cooked chicken
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add garlic. Sauté for 30–60 seconds.
2. Add dry pasta, Alfredo sauce, and water or broth. Stir everything to combine.
3. Bring to a gentle simmer. Cover partially and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. If the sauce thickens too quickly, add a splash more water or broth.
5. Stir in optional ingredients (spinach, peas, chicken) during the last 3 minutes.
6. When pasta is tender and coated in creamy sauce, remove from heat.
7. Top with parmesan, black pepper, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use broth instead of water for richer flavor.
- If pasta is undercooked but liquid is gone, add a splash more water.
- Want to make pink sauce? Add 2–3 tbsp marinara sauce with the Alfredo.
- This one pot alfredo pasta with jar sauce is best eaten fresh, but it can be stored up to 2 days in the fridge.
