Ingredients
1 large egg
3 tablespoons milk (dairy or plant-based)
1 slice day-old bread, torn into chunks
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 tablespoon maple syrup or sugar
Pinch of salt
Butter or spray for greasing the jar
Instructions
1. Grease a microwave-safe mason jar or mug with butter or spray.
2. Crack the egg into the jar. Add milk, cinnamon, vanilla, syrup, and salt.
3. Whisk everything together using a fork until fully combined.
4. Add torn bread pieces into the jar and gently press to soak. Let sit for 30 seconds.
5. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until puffed and set.
6. Let cool for 30 seconds. Add toppings and enjoy straight from the jar.

- Use firm or slightly stale bread to prevent sogginess.
